Hohewand and Rax are nearby areas just outside of Vienna in Austria. Ideal destinations for one-day trips for climbing-hungry clients not just from Bratislava. The difficulties of the climbing routes are on the full scale of the UIAA scale. There are mainly multi-pitch sports routes, but there is no shortage of single-pitch routes either. The quality of the rock and in situ protection is high. Austrians care about the density of bolts. The rocks are also ideal for training and teaching climbing.
