Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between the mountain guide (service provider) and the client(s).

All tours are suitable from 12 years of age in general.
Purchase of climbs and tours can be made in the online shop at www.robertvrlak.com
Payment is made by credit card via Stripe or bank transfer.
By making the payment, the purchase contract is concluded according to these terms and conditions.
After successful payment, a voucher will be automatically delivered to the client’s email address in PDF format (high resolution printable).
In case of a change in the parameters of the tour, the price may change.
Changing the parameters of the tour at the client’s request (route, number of persons, etc.) will always change the price to the current price listed for the tour. Any difference from the original price paid shall be paid by the client by the chosen method of payment before the start of the tour.

The voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Extension is possible by paying the difference to the current price of the tour.
Additional persons can be added to the tour purchased by paying the difference to the current price of the tour.

The date of the tour is fixed according to the type of tour or can be arranged individually according to the current conditions and weather.
If the date is agreed and the weather or conditions are unsuitable for the tour, a new date will be scheduled.
Rescheduling upon client’s request is possible up to 14 days before the tour if it has been agreed individually.
Cancellation fees will apply if the tour is cancelled by the client.

All necessary equipment for the tour must be fully functional before the hike begins.
The list of necessary equipment is given for each tour or climb.
The guide is entitled to ask each client to check the condition of the equipment before the tour.
In case of a malfunction of part or all of the equipment, the mountain guide is entitled to demand a remedy.
In case of persistent deficiencies in the equipment, the mountain guide is entitled to cancel the tour without refund.
The client is fully responsible for the technical condition of his/her own equipment.

Clients participating in the tour must be in good health before the tour and must not suffer from any major illness such as covid, diabetes, epilepsy, high blood pressure, joint disease, severe allergies, mental disorder, phobia of heights.
The client must have good fitness and climbing skills to climb.
By purchasing the tour, the client confirms that he/she does not suffer from any of the above mentioned diagnoses.
The mountain guide is entitled to cancel the tour immediately if the above is not fulfilled.

Should the mountain guide be unable to guide the booked tour for health or other reasons, the client will be offered the services of another UIAGM mountain guide with the same valid license to perform mountain guiding activities under unchanged conditions.
If it is not possible to arrange another UIAGM mountain guide to lead the tour, it will be rescheduled.

10% of the price (deposit for the tour), cancellation of the tour by the customer more than 14 days before the booked date of the tour.
100% of the price, cancellation of the tour by the customer less than 14 days before the booked date of the tour (no refund).
Full refund and cancelation is possible within 14 days after the date of purchase of the tour. The full amount will be refunded. Only valid if no tour dates have been booked yet.
Cancellation of the purchase contract after 14 days after purchase is 10% of the purchase price of the tour.

The client must not embark on the tour if he/she has symptoms consistent with Covid.
Failure to comply with the above rules will result in immediate cancellation of the tour and a cancellation fee of 100%.

If a tour is cancelled due to the unsatisfactory condition of the client’s equipment, no refund will be given (see Tour Equipment).
If the tour is cancelled due to non-compliance with Covid rules, no refund will be given.
If the tour is cancelled on the recommendation of the mountain guide due to bad weather before the start of the tour, the guide will offer a new date for the tour.
No refund will be given if the tour is cancelled by the mountain guide due to the client’s poor fitness or unsatisfactory physical condition.
If the tour is cancelled by the customer during the tour for any reason, no refund will be given.
If the tour is cancelled due to bad weather during the tour and the customer has been informed of this eventuality in advance, no refund will be made.

The mountain guide is insured against liability to his clients.
Nevertheless, the client is obliged to take out mountain insurance for each day of the tour.

Each customer agrees to the above terms and conditions and the processing of personal data.

At the same time, each customer agrees to publish photos from the tour on social networks and the website www.robertvrlak.com
