Ascent to the highest peak of Austria Grossglockner 3798m via the Stüdlhütte hut. The ascent over the Stüdlgrat ridge is an option for more experienced climbers.

Description
Itinerary:
The program is 2 days long.
- 1. Day ascent to the Stüdlhütte hut from parking.
- 2. Day early start from the hut and climb to the top of Grossglockner. Descent down to the car.
Difficulty:
- very good fitness is required
- very good climbing movement in rocky terrain is required
- experience in alpine glacial terrain
Recommended preparatory hikes:
Equipment needed:
- alpine technical boots (vibram sole)
- crampons, ice axe, helmet, harness (rental included)
- technical backpack
- Headlamp
- sunglasses suitable for glacier
- ski goggles
- technical waterproof and windproof fleece for the mountains
- insulating layer – down jacket
- sun cream with a factor of min. 50
- gloves 2 pairs

- guiding with a UIAGM mountain guide (the mountain guide has third party insurance and a valid UIAGM membership)
